😢GRIEF: It’s 60 & sunny at the END OF NOVEMBER…guess where I am spending my day off?! When you are grieving, it’s ok to hold space for BOTH the pain AND for the things that are comforting & FEEL good.
Seek them out.
Just like you would run to a child who fell & was hurting, run to YOURSELF and provide YOURSELF that same level of inquisition & care.
“Are you ok? No?
What hurts? Your heart?
OK. Let me hold (space for) you.
I’m here now. Let me help you.”
✨Here are some of my FAVS:✨
I’ll watch funny videos, stand up comedy, listen to my favorite music, call a friend or my sister, mindfully savor good food, take a bath, take a walk, read a book, sit and watch the birds, breathe in fresh air & feel the warmth of the sun, stay hydrated, put on the comfiest clothes, take a nap, get on the Crystal bed, do yoga or somatic stretches, reflect gratefully on the LIFE I AM LIVING.
Most importantly, remember your BEST LOOKS DIFFERENT EVERYDAY.
For the love of God, do not put yourself down for being sad or unproductive and certainly don’t call yourself weak or lazy.
💕You, my beautiful Soul, are none of those things.
You are love…and grief is when you realize the magnitude of your being love & ability to love.💕
Take the quiet time to rest & recharge. Grief brings up intense feelings of sadness and why wouldn’t it? Our grief simply reflects our capacity for love.
No need to push it away…when we do, it simply persists trying to get our attention.
💕See it.
💕Hear it.
💕Allow it.
💕Honor it.
