**Solidarity MMA Evening Session**

Man, I'm so blessed.

What an awesome group of guys I get to train with every day. The culture we're building at Solidarity MMA is something special. Everyone comes in ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to help each other get better.

As a coach, it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind, but nights like tonight remind me how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such a great team. Whether you're brand new or have been training for years, every person on these mats plays a role in making our academy what it is.

Let's keep growing together.

Tonight in boxing class, Coach Dustin broke down the 3-5-7 Trilemma and how to use it to close distance, create reactions, and take control of the fight.

The concept is simple but incredibly effective:

πŸ₯Š Jab β†’ Lead Hook (3)
πŸ₯Š Jab β†’ Lead Uppercut (5)
πŸ₯Š Jab β†’ Lead Shovel Hook to the Body (7)

Everything starts with the jab. The jab forces your opponent to react. Once they react, you have options. If they shell up, the hook is there. If they start leaning forward, the uppercut is there. If they bring their elbows high, the body shot is there.

The beauty of the 3-5-7 Trilemma is that it gives you multiple ways to enter safely and get to that inside position where the real work begins. Instead of chasing punches, you're creating predictable reactions and attacking the openings your opponent gives you.

Footwork creates position.
Position creates opportunity.
Opportunity creates strikes.

This is one of the most effective systems for shorter fighters, pressure fighters, and anyone looking to get inside against a longer opponent.

Great work tonight, everyone. Keep drilling the fundamentals and trust the process.

I can't wait to see everyone on the mats tonight at Solidarity MMA!

Tonight we're diving deep into one of the most important positions in all of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: the Closed Guard.

We'll be covering:
β€’ Bump Sweep
β€’ Kimura
β€’ Armbar
β€’ Triangle Choke
β€’ Omoplata
β€’ Two-on-One Shopping Cart Guard Pass

Whether you're brand new to the position or have been training for years, this is the kind of fundamental material that wins matches and builds a complete Jiu-Jitsu game.

The best competitors in the world still spend time sharpening the basics because fundamentals never go out of style.

See you tonight. Bring your gi, bring your notebook, bring a great attitude, and let's get better together.

One of the coolest parts of being a coach has been watching my daughter, Kiley, grow in martial arts over the years. But lately, something even more special has happenedβ€”she's started training in the adult classes alongside me.

Getting to spar with her, roll with her, and share that time together on the mats has been an experience I never take for granted. As parents, we're always looking for ways to spend meaningful time with our kids, and for me, there's nothing better than getting to train together, challenge each other, learn together, and watch her continue to grow as both an athlete and a young woman.

The mats have given us memories that will last a lifetime. The lessons learned through hard work, discipline, perseverance, and respect go far beyond martial arts.

Getting to train with your child is truly one of the greatest feelings in the world, and I'm incredibly grateful for every minute of it.

I couldn't be more proud of KILEY this weekend at AGF Worlds.

Kiley fought her way to a 2nd place finish against some very tough opponents, but what impressed me most wasn't the medalβ€”it was how she competed. She stepped onto the mat with confidence, composure, and heart, and she executed exactly the way she has been training in the gym.

As a coach, there's nothing more rewarding than watching an athlete trust their training under pressure. As a father, there's nothing more rewarding than watching your daughter show courage, determination, and grit when things get difficult.

Every match was a battle, and Kiley never backed down. She stayed focused, trusted the process, and gave everything she had. The result is something to be proud of, but her effort, attitude, and performance are what make me the proudest.

Kiley, you've worked incredibly hard for this moment, and it shows. Keep believing in yourself, keep showing up, and keep chasing excellence. This is just another step in a very bright future.

I love you, kiddo. I'm proud of you beyond words.

This weekend at AGF Worlds, Logan and Lucas showed exactly what hard work, consistency, and determination look like.

Logan battled his way to a 2nd place finish, and Lucas fought hard to earn 4th place against some very tough competition. While medals are great, what makes me the most proud is the effort these boys put in every single week at the gym. They show up, work hard, listen, learn, and continue to improve.

Competition isn't just about winningβ€”it's about having the courage to step onto the mat, test yourself, and keep moving forward no matter the outcome. Both of these young men represented Solidarity MMA with heart, discipline, and sportsmanship, and that's something to be proud of.

Congratulations, Logan and Lucas. Keep showing up, keep working hard, and keep chasing greatness. This is only the beginning.

Technical sparring is one of the most important parts of martial arts training.

It's where you get to practice real techniques against a live training partner without the pressure of trying to "win" every exchange. You learn timing, distance management, defense, offense, movement, and decision-makingβ€”all while greatly reducing the risk of injury compared to hard sparring.

At Solidarity MMA, we believe technical sparring helps students build confidence, sharpen their skills, and develop the ability to stay calm under pressure. Whether you're training Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, or MMA, technical sparring allows you to grow faster because you're focused on learning rather than surviving.

Our goal is to create a safe, positive environment where beginners and experienced athletes alike can improve together, push each other, and become better every day.

If you've ever wanted to learn martial arts, get in shape, build confidence, make friends, or challenge yourself, we'd love to have you come train with us.

We offer a FREE trial, so come see what makes the Solidarity MMA community special.
