Congratulations to our CTEC Graphic Design & Illustration students who recently took the Adobe Photoshop Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design using Photoshop certification exam — a highly respected industry credential that validates professional-level skills in digital imaging, design, and visual communication.

This certification is a major accomplishment and gives students a significant advantage as they pursue college programs, internships, and creative careers. While many programs across the country report average pass rates around 30–40%, our students achieved an impressive nearly 70% pass rate.

Earning an Adobe certification requires far more than basic software knowledge. Students must demonstrate design principles, technical precision, creativity, problem-solving, and professional workflow skills under industry-level testing conditions. Adobe recommends candidates complete at least 150 hours of instruction and hands-on experience before attempting the exam.

By earning this professional certification while still in high school, these students are setting themselves apart and positioning themselves far ahead of many of their peers nationwide. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and achievement.

CTEC engineering students are already several steps ahead.

Earlier this month, 329 second-year engineering students took the NOCTI Engineering Technology Foundations Industry-Based Certification exam — a rigorous assessment aligned to real industry and college-level expectations.

An outstanding 320 students earned their certification, and 240 scored high enough to receive a Letter of Commendation recognizing achievement equivalent to a three-hour college engineering technology course.

These industry-recognized credentials validate real technical knowledge and workforce readiness, giving our students a major advantage as they move into college, internships, and engineering careers.

CTEC students aren’t just preparing for the future — they’re already ahead of it.

🚍📚 Big things are rolling through Frisco ISD this summer! 🚍📚

We’re incredibly proud to share the launch of the Frisco ISD Book Bus—a mobile library designed to bring books, literacy, and hands-on learning directly to students across our community. This inspiring project is the result of an incredible district-wide collaboration between Library Services, Transportation, Facilities, and CTEC students working together to make access to books more flexible and engaging than ever.

A special shoutout goes to our very own CTEC student Kylie Gore, whose work on this project represents exactly what makes our students so exceptional—creativity, dedication, and a commitment to serving others. We are so proud of her contributions and the way she’s helping support literacy opportunities for FISD students.

Projects like this don’t just build skills—they build community. And this one will have a lasting impact every time the Book Bus opens its doors to young readers.

Keep an eye out this summer… the library is coming to a neighborhood near you! 🚐✨

Huge congratulations to our Cybersecurity students on earning the NOCTI Certified Foundation Certification in Cybersecurity!

This rigorous industry certification exam was a brand-new opportunity offered this year and required students to achieve a proficient score to pass. Out of 182 students who tested, an incredible 167 students earned certification — resulting in an outstanding 91.67% pass rate. These certifications represent more than just test scores — they demonstrate real-world knowledge, technical skill, and career readiness in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.

We are incredibly proud of our students and instructors for this remarkable achievement!

Did you know students at the CTEC can earn about 30 different industry-recognized certifications and licenses before they even graduate high school? These are not just classroom achievements, they are real-world credentials valued in professional industries such as healthcare, cybersecurity, graphic design, veterinary science, welding, education, and more.

Yes, they look impressive on college applications and resumes, but more importantly, students are learning meaningful, hands-on skills that will serve them well in future careers.

Big recognition for our program at the Collin College Health Professions Students of Excellence ceremony in McKinney.

Frisco students earned more awards than any other district represented—an incredible reflection of the strength, consistency, and professionalism of our Health Science pathway programs.

Two students received top honors:

Avnita Parvataneni was selected as one of only four scholarship recipients.

Manyatha Simhambhatla earned both the Leadership Award and the Heart of Healthcare Award, one of the highest recognitions given for compassion, service, and commitment to the healthcare field.

These achievements highlight what makes our program stand out: high expectations, strong preparation, and students who consistently rise above in competitive, real-world healthcare settings.

Proud of all of our Frisco award recipients and the standard they continue to set.
