At FEF’s May Board Meeting, we had the honor of celebrating Carly as she retires from our Board of Directors. Her dedication, generosity, and heart for supporting FISD students and staff, especially through her leadership of our Grant Committee, have made a lasting impact on our district and community.

Thank you, Carly, for the time, passion, and leadership you have poured into FEF over the years. Your impact will continue to be felt for years to come, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to continue partnering with you in new ways!

Seven years ago, Carla Stinson made a visionary planned gift of more than $200,000 to launch a rocketry program in Friendswood ISD, creating opportunities that are still lifting students to new heights.

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating her legacy alongside her daughter, Jordan, at the fifth FISD rocketry launch with SystemsGo. We had 3 Tsiolkovsky level rockets and our first Oberth level rocket this year!

Because of the Stinson family’s incredible generosity, FISD students are gaining hands-on experience in rocketry and aerospace engineering, igniting curiosity, confidence, and dreams for the future. 🚀
