Attention RHJ Elementary Families: As the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year fast approaches, our building staff, administration, and faculty are busily preparing to welcome our students.

In addition, our RHJ Health Office reminds families that students entering UPK, first, third, and fifth grade, as well as all students new to the district, must have a current doctor's physical before school starts. Attention Frewsburg Families: We hope you are enjoying the final weeks of summer! We are very excited to welcome students and their parents to our Back to School Bash on Wednesday, September 2!

The evening will begin at RHJ Elementary from 5 to 6 p.m., where students in grades UPK-6 will have the opportunity to visit their classrooms to meet their teachers and drop off supplies (see graphic for a more detailed schedule of when each grade level can enter the building).

At 6:30 p.m., seventh-grade orientation will begin at the MS/HS. This will feature a presentation from the administration regarding middle school opportunities and expectations, followed by tours of the building (including locker visits).

The MS/HS will begin welcoming students in grades 8-12 and their families at 7 p.m., when these students are welcome to pick up their schedules, as well as retrieve computers and chargers from their lockers to take home and charge for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8. Students may also wish to place items in their lockers at that time.

Families should also plan to stop by the MS/HS extracurricular fair, where information regarding clubs and activities available to our students will be on display.

The MS/HS portion of the evening will end at 8:00 p.m. At the events at both campuses, food will be available for purchase to benefit Frewsburg scholarships and the PSTA.

The FCS Travel Club is hosting Community Swim nights on Friday, August 14, and Friday, August 28, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Admission is just $5 per swimmer, and all proceeds directly benefit the FCS Travel Club to help fund their upcoming trip. Join us to cool off, enjoy great music, and grab a sweet treat from our bake sale!

Please note: Space is strictly limited to the first 48 swimmers, so be sure to arrive early.

Join us in congratulating two of our very own Frewsburg students, Jaxson Swanson (9th grade) and Brayden Beckstrom (8th grade), who will be representing our school district, the Frewsburg Baseball program, and our entire community in the upcoming Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series!

This past winter, Jaxson and Brayden competed in a month-long tryout against 60+ athletes from across Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Warren counties. Their hard work and dedication paid off, securing them two of the 15 highly coveted spots on the Jamestown host team!

They are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to represent Frewsburg as they prepare to take on top-tier qualifying teams from across the nation.

If you would like to attend any of the upcoming games to show your support, be sure to mark your calendars now!

All games are held at Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park, and admission is free. The Jamestown team will be playing on the following dates, and all games begin at 7 p.m.:

Saturday, August 15th
Sunday, August 16th
Monday, August 17th
Wednesday, August 19th

Last week, four Frewsburg students took part in the Boys State of New York program at SUNY Morrisville.

Mathias Sanfilippo, Landon Frederes, Aiden Cusimano, and Gavin Kent were selected by the Samuel Derby Post 556 and the Sons of the American Legion to attend this prestigious program. This intensive six-day program, sponsored by the American Legion, focuses on developing civic leadership and promoting American citizenship through a detailed study of government functions.
