Fresno State Financial Aid and Scholarships

We will begin disbursing financial aid for summer students this week!😎🌞

Couple of things to remember:
• Your summer aid disbursement depends on when your classes start, so if your classes don’t start until July (for example), you can anticipate your aid disbursing closer to their start date.
• If you are enrolled in Continuing and Global Education classes, your fees are not automatically paid by your financial aid like in a normal term. If you get a refund, please make sure to pay any outstanding balance you have on your account.
• When you are awarded financial aid for the summer, it is based on your enrollment at that time. If you change your enrollment, you will get a “Financial Aid Disb Pending” hold. We will review your new enrollment and adjust aid, if necessary. Once this review has been completed, the hold will come off. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing during this busy period.
• Remember: Fall 2026 aid will be delayed if you are enrolled in summer because we have to make sure you are meeting SAP requirements after summer grades are official in August.

☀️ Summer Hours Are Here! ☀️

Starting May 18th through July 31st, we’ll be operating on our summer schedule:

🕖 Business Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
📞 Phones Open: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
👩‍💻 Walk-In Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

We’ll return to our normal business hours beginning August 3rd. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope everyone has a great summer! 🌴

📣Our Walk-In Wednesday hours on May 6th will be from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Quick reminder: the deadline to accept federal student loans for Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 is May 5th ⏳

The U.S. Department of Education is making changes to the file layout of the 2026-2027 FAFSA. Because of these changes, there will be a temporary delay in how schools receive and process FAFSA information as school systems need to be updated to receive these file layout changes.

What this means:
Starting April 26, 2026, we will not be able to process new or updated FAFSA information for the 2026–2027 year for a short period of time.
This delay is due to a required system update that must be completed before we can resume processing. We expect processing to resume once the update has been released and tested, which may be around mid-June (timing is still being confirmed).

What this means for you:
✅Already submitted your 2026-2027 FAFSA? Check your student center for any financial aid to do items that may need your attention, but otherwise, no action is needed.
✅Submitted your 2026-2027 FAFSA just before or after April 26? Please expect processing delays since we cannot load your FAFSA, but know that once we can, we will let you know that we have resumed processing!
✅Haven’t submitted your 2026-2027 FAFSA? It’s not too late and you still can complete it after April 26th. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible!
