Studio Art offers courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, animaton, new media, printmaking, design, glass blowing, glass casting and foundry. Art Education leads towards a single subject teaching credential. Art History presents a platform for students to examine, identify, and appreciate the visual arts. Graphic Design offers a state-of-the-art program that prepares students for careers in graphic design, illustration, advertising, publishing, and Web design. Interior Design uses the most advanced CAD and animation programs as well as traditional methods to train its students for success in the professions of retail, office, restaurant, healthcare, historic preservation, and residential design. The M.A. in Art offers in depth advanced studies in Art History, Studio Art, Art Education and Interior Design. Excellent Facilities

Calling all MA and MFA students at a California university!

We are pleased to announce the Fresno State California Call for Art, a juried group exhibition open to all Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students currently studying at a California university.

Organized by graduate students and faculty at California State University, Fresno, this exhibition aims to create a platform for emerging artists across California to share their work, experiment, and engage in dialogue across institutions.

The exhibition will be held at M Street Graduate Art Studios and Gallery in Fresno, California, from October 1–24, 2026, with an opening reception on October 1 from 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Submissions are open now through September 11, 2026. We welcome work across a wide range of disciplines and media. Full eligibility requirements, submission guidelines, and accepted media are available on our submission form: https://forms.gle/vFRJS4jXRGu59xJ97

The exhibition will be juried by Fresno State graduates and faculty. Awards donated by BLICK Art Materials for Best of Show and Honorable Mentions will be announced at the opening reception.

As this is our first statewide call for art, we are excited to bring together graduate artists from universities throughout California and create new connections between programs and artistic communities.

Announcing the London program for Winter 2026/27, ‘Arts, Artistic Exchange and Empire in London’ (departing Dec 27th and returning January 18th), AH105 Arts & Humanities (IC GE) with Professors Luis Gordo Peláez and Nick Potter, the class is a 3-unit upper-division GE course and can also satisfy an upper-division art history requirement if needed.

The course consists of five Saturday morning meetings throughout the Fall 26 semester, followed by three weeks in London (Dec 27th to January 18th) visiting many art collections and museums, such as the National Gallery, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the British Museum, along with contemporary art galleries, theatre, and other cultural highlights. All this while considering how British arts and culture developed and were influenced by other countries and its own expanding empire.

If you are a student in the School of Art, Design, and Art History at Fresno State, majoring in Studio Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Art History, or Animation, please consider applying for the Edward Lund Foundation scholarships to cover the entire program cost.

� �📸 You’re Invited to a Powerful Evening of Art, Storytelling 🌈📸 You’re Invited to a Powerful Evening of Art, Storytelling & Community

Join Oasis for a special photography showcase during ArtHop in Downtown Fresno on Thursday, June 4 | 5PM–8PM at The M Street Graduate Art Studios.
A short formal program will begin at 6PM.

This moving exhibit features 183 photographic prints created by 15 LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, exploring themes of survival, safety, identity, and belonging — and how LGBTQ+ immigrants have come to call California’s Central Valley home and sanctuary.

This project was made possible through a collaboration between the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Dr. Kat Fobear, photographer and professor Gailan Gray at Cosumnes River College, and California State University, Fresno School of Art Design and Art History.

Help us celebrate and uplift our community this Pride Month by sharing this event with others. 💛
