Scripture Memory with John Flores

Since becoming a believer, the Bible has been something I've always enjoyed reading. I've made it a daily habit to read a portion. Scripture memory played a significant role, leading me to create a page to highlight it. I aimed to connect with others who share the interest of memorizing scriptures. However, like many, life often interfered, causing me to shift focus away from scripture memory while still reading the Bible. Nonetheless, I've found immense joy in reading the entire Bible. While I'm still working on memorizing verses, this year has been particularly transformative. My hope is to dedicate more time to the page and inspire others to do the same. Until next time...

Years ago, a friend of mine invited me to attend a a conference on bible study. In between speakers, there were workshops put on to address different topics. I attended two workshops: One was called "Finding God's Purpose for Your Life" and the other was called "Scripture Memorization." The workshop on God's purpose was standing room only and the workshop for scripture memorization had so many empty seats, every person in the room could lie down on five or six seats around them. At the end of the day, I mentioned this to my friend who invited me. He said it's always the case. Everyone want's to know God's purpose but aren't interested in studying scripture in order to learn what God's purpose is for their lives.

Memorizing can actually be fun, and it's always great to see the reactions of people when you recall information because they think it takes a special talent to be able to do so. I'm living proof that it doesn't take anything special at all. My purpose is to let people know that if I can do it, anyone can!
