I believe that studying music increases intelligence and emotional health. Through lessons and practice, I expect my students to develop patience and grit. They will learn how to set and achieve short and long term goals and learn the value of taking enough time to properly learn a piece. I expect my students to take advantage of the creative outlet that piano playing provides. They will learn how
to phrase their music beautifully and how to use their entire palette of articulations and dynamics. They will also learn theory and ear-training so that they can write their own music and arrange songs with their own embellishments. My students will also benefit from the physical coordination and dexterity that is developed through playing piano. They will focus on how to move gracefully with the piano and how to be aware of their whole body and how it works together when making beautiful music.
