Ryan Soares, recreation administration lecturer and E.D.G.E. Challenge Course Director, completed the first-ever single-push of the Monarch Divide in a day, establishing the Fastest Known Time (FKT) standard for the route. ποΈ
Covering 58.5 miles and over 16,000 feet of elevation gain in one continuous effort, the route demanded relentless endurance, complex navigation, rugged terrain, and unwavering focus from start to finish.

As a child, Leslie Herrera helped her parents navigate doctor appointments by translating complex medical terms into Spanish. Years later, that same passion for helping others has led her to earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Fresno State. π πΎ
Now, sheβs preparing to give back to the Spanish-speaking community in Fresno as a practicing physical therapist.
