A month ago, dreams became degrees. 🎓 Today, we're reflecting on the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and the impact they'll make in the world ahead. 🐾

Congratulations to mechanical engineering student Aaron Millwee, who has been selected for an ARI-NextGen Fellowship! 👏🐾 Research done through the program benefits California agriculture, natural resources and food systems while cultivating the next generation of agricultural leaders. 🌱

Congratulations to Dr. Manideep Tummalapudi, assistant professor of construction management, for earning the Provost's Promising New Faculty Award! 👏🐾

Dr. Tummalapudi launched Artificial Intelligence in Architecture, Engineering and Construction in fall 2025, one of the first courses of its kind to prepare students for AI-enabled project environments. He also redesigned core courses to incorporate industry case simulations, data-driven project controls and real-world financial benchmarking to help graduates enter the workforce.

Congratulations to Dr. Deify Law, department chair and professor of mechanical engineering, who was elected a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, which recognizes exceptional engineering achievements and contributions to the engineering profession.👏🐾 Over 70,000 members make up the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, with only 3,400 recognized as fellows.

A strong finish to the semester at the Fresno State Transportation Institute’s Year 8 & 9 Research Projects Poster Presentations. 👏 Students and faculty shared research focused on real-world transportation challenges and opportunities in the Central Valley while networking with industry leaders and professionals. 🐾

Congratulations to Hernan Maldonado, director of the Pathways Student Services Program, on being named a recipient of the inaugural Trustee Wenda Fong and Mr. Daniel Fetterly Staff Award! 👏

Hernan received the Fostering an Inclusive and Equitable Learning Environment Award for his unwavering commitment to student success and for creating a more equitable and inclusive experience across the Fresno State community. 🐾
