Did you know tomorrow’s Town Hall speaker, Amy Tan, has a musical side? 🎸

Beyond her celebrated novels, she’s also a member of the Rock Bottom Remainders—a one-of-a-kind band made up of bestselling writers who swap their pens for instruments. The group has includes literary heavyweights like Stephen King and past Town Hall favorite Dave Barry.

Formed for fun (and a good cause), the band has performed over the years with the same wit and energy you’d expect from their writing.

We're excited to welcome Amy Tan to Town Hall tomorrow, but if you can't wait, here is fun you tube interview for your enjoyment.

Such a beautiful morning in the foothills for the Amy Tan bird walk.

Over 40 people gathered in our own “big backyard” to slow down, look closely, and appreciate the incredible birdlife around us. A special thank you to the Sierra Conservancy and Rodney Olsen for leading such an engaging and insightful bird watching lesson. It was a wonderful way to connect with nature and each other.

A perfect lead-in to Amy Tan’s San Joaquin Valley Town Hall lecture this Wednesday. 🐦
