Hearty congratulations to recent CFS grads, Briana (Bri) Petrille, Brianna (Brie) Zack, and Patrica Yang, who recently traveled to Brisbane, Australia to share the results of their HD&C lab research at the IACCP + IAIR conference. Their paper presentation was a huge hit and for days after, colleagues approached Dr. McKenzie to express that they could hardly believe theirs was not a graduate-level presentation.
In the days leading up to the conference, Bri, Brie, Patricia, and Dr. McKenzie explored some highlights of Australia - the Gold Coast, Lamington National Park, and the beautiful University of Queensland campus. Bri, Brie, and Patricia also laid their eyes (and hands!) on koalas and kangaroos. Sadly - or not? - only Patricia and Dr. McKenzie laid their eyes on the huntsman spider with whom they all shared an Airbnb 😬
Congrats, Bri, Brie, and Patrica! We are all so proud of you, and we can't wait to see where the future takes you ❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations to Idalis Topete for completing her degree as a Sociology major!🎓🎉
During her time at Fresno State, Idalis enjoyed meeting such amazing peers and wonderful/passionate professors.❤️
After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the education system. She is passionate about working with young people and believes that education is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape the future. Her goal is to contribute to creating supportive, inspiring learning environments where students feel seen, heard, and motivated to reach their full potential. She wants to make a real difference in the lives of the youth by helping them grow not just academically, but also as confident and capable individuals.👩🏫
Congratulations on your achievement Idalis, we cannot wait to see the change you will create in the world! 🎓🐾
