This weekend our members visited College of The Sequoias for the Tulare school district’s Expanding your Horizons event. Our members demoed several experiments including making liquid nitrogen ice cream and flamethrowers to 4th-8th grade girls to teach them about chemistry! 🧪 ⚛️

Hello everyone! 🎉
The Fresno State Chemistry Club will be hosting our first official meeting on Wednesday, September 10th, from 5–6 PM in Science 1, Room 141.
All majors are welcome—come join us to learn more about the club, upcoming events, and ways to get involved!
We’ll be sharing exciting outreach opportunities for the semester, and we also have a few officer positions currently open for those interested in taking on a leadership role. This is a great chance to connect with fellow students, get involved in the department, and help shape the direction of the club.

John is a 3rd-year Chemistry major with plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry ☢️.
Outside of leading the Chemistry Club, he serves as an SI Leader for Chem 128A and conducts research with Dr. Santanu Maitra, fueling his passion for science both inside and outside the classroom.
His favorite element is Thorium (Th) — admired for its connection to uranium decay and its role in the fascinating world of nuclear chemistry. ⚛️

Felicia is a 4th-year Biology major 🧬 on the Pre-Med track, pursuing the dream of becoming an M.D. 👨⚕️.
Outside the classroom, Felicia is a thrill-seeker and risk-taker, always chasing high-energy, exciting activities 🎢🔥.
Her favorite element is Iron (Fe) — a symbol of strength. Since iron is essential in human blood, it has often been called the “blood of the Earth,” representing life and vitality. 🩸🌍
