College Bridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase college access and success for students. persist through college graduation.

College Bridge is a non-profit organization serving children and families in California through tutoring, test preparation, college planning, after school academic enrichment and parent education programs. Our mission is to increase college access and persistence for under-represented students. The strategy we employ to accomplish this is to provide comprehensive academic and counseling services t

o students in grades Pre-K-16 and their families. We partner with school districts and higher education institutions serving low-income, minority, first-generation students to develop and implement programs so students:

1. attain early academic achievement beginning in Pre-K,
2. graduate from high school college-ready,
3. succeed on college entrance and placement exams,
4. apply and be accepted into college,
5. finance their college education, and

🎉 Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the College Bridge team, Mrs. Kristi Rieg! 🎉

Kristi joins us as our Regional Math Coordinator, bringing more than two decades of experience as a mathematics educator and a passion for making math engaging, accessible, and meaningful. 📐✨

Since beginning her career in 2002, Kristi has earned a B.S. in Mathematics from California State University, Chico, and an M.A. in Mathematics from California State University, Fresno. Since 2019, she has also created educational content that brings mathematics to life through the stories behind formulas, math history, surprising facts, and connections to everyday life and popular culture. 🎥🧮

We’re especially excited to have someone on our team who believes that math is more than equations. It’s a story, a language, and a way of understanding the world around us!

When she’s not teaching or creating math content, Kristi enjoys hiking, exploring historic sites, and playing Pokémon GO. 🥾🏛️🎮

Michelle's words perfectly capture what Math Bridge is all about. Through intentional support and a college-level learning environment, students gain more than college credit—they build confidence in themselves and their abilities.

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we're thrilled to announce that 19 Math Bridge classrooms will be launching this fall, with two more beginning next spring. Looking ahead, we're also excited to welcome two additional schools to the project during the 2027–2028 school year!

As we get ready to kick off the 2026–2027 school year, we hope all of our partner schools, educators, and students have had a restful and well-deserved summer break! 📚☀️ We can't wait to welcome a brand-new cohort of Math Bridge students in just a few short weeks.

👏 This week, we're celebrating our incredible Health Careers Academy Math Bridge classroom, where 83% of students successfully passed their college math course! We're also excited to share a classroom photo and a reflection from the students that remind us why this work matters.

🎉 Our latest Math Bridge results are in, and they're worth celebrating!

This year's cohort demonstrates what's possible when students receive intentional support and access to college-level coursework.

📊 2025–2026 Highlights:
✅ 95% of students passed their fall college math course (589 of 619 students)
✅ 84% passed their spring Statistics or Pre-Calculus course (470 of 557 students)
✅ 97% pass rate in Fall Statistics across 578 enrolled students

Behind every percentage is a student building confidence, earning college credit, and taking another step toward their educational goals.
