Every week has brought thoughtful conversations, practical strategies, and so much engagement. It’s been amazing to watch each of the SLPAs ask questions, build confidence, and continue growing in their clinical skills.
Week 4 focused on the importance of partnering with families, providing realistic and meaningful carryover ideas that fit into everyday routines, and recognizing when a situation falls outside the SLPA scope of practice and should be brought to the supervising SLP.
We can’t wait to see what next week will bring!

Stuttering Therapy: What’s Changed & Why it Matters | CEU Bite
At TALK, we’re committed to lifelong learning because the more we grow, the better we can support the children and families we serve.
This week, our own Sabrina Baisdon led a CEU for the team on current approaches to stuttering therapy. Here are a few of the biggest takeaways.
Our goal is not to eliminate stuttering. Our goal is to help individuals feel confident, empowered, and in control of their stutter.
Success is not using strategies every second of every conversation. Success is having the knowledge and confidence to choose when strategies are helpful, when communication matters most, and when to prioritize participating in the conversation over perfect fluency.
Stuttering does not define a person’s voice. Every individual deserves to communicate with confidence, be heard, and be understood exactly as they are.

Project SurfCamp + TALK Speech & ABA 2026
It’s hard to find the right words for what ProjectSurfCamp is because it’s something you have to experience. The closest word we can think of is magic.
Watching our TALK kids step outside their comfort zones, trust their volunteers, and discover what they’re capable of is nothing short of incredible. Even our most reluctant surfer ended up on a board with a smile that said it all.
This experience is about so much more than surfing. It’s about confidence, connection, courage, and creating moments that remind every child, and all of us, that they can do amazing things.
