Cynthia Merrill has been teaching Social, Ballroom Dance, Latin Dance and Manners to pre-teens, teens, adults and children in our public school system since 1981 in a program called THE COTILLION and Ballroom Dance for Adults.. Starting in the fifth grade and continuing through high school, the Cotillion meets six sessions a year, once a month from October through February with a December Junior B

all. Classes are from 5:30 to 7:00 pm for 5/6 grade and from 7:30 to 9:00 pm for Middle School and High School students six Saturdays a year (or Fridays).Adults students study with Cynthia in private class sessions. Etiquette Workshops are available for an additional four sessions with the final session at a restaurant for a five course meal. Curriculum includes dining skills and table manners; thank you notes; introduction and telephone manners; texting and cell phone manners; communication skills and manners at school. High School students have four special seminars on Scholarship, College and Employment Interviews; Resumes; Cover letters,Dining Skills; Dress for Success; Creating a Positive First Impression; Social Etiquette; Telephone, Introductions, Internet Etiquette and Thank you notes along with the Dangers of the Internet.
