Hello FJDS Family,
It is with an incredible amount of sadness that I have to report we are closing our doors. June 30th 2023 will be our last day of operations. This decision was not made lightly or quickly, and we are all devistated that this is the course of action that must be taken. We are hoping that in the future, another day school will be able to open, to further the education of young children, but for now, it has been an absolute pleasure to serve our community. The last 40 years that FJDS has been open have been a wonderful to watch the community grow and learn from our little school and help shape the lives of so many little ones, building a great foundation with a strong knowledge of the Jewish faith and inclusion. Thank you Fresno, the Jewish community and all those involved in our little school, we will always have the wonderful memories made at the Fresno Jewish Day School!

Playing outside, a little chilly, but that doesn't stop us, we are enjoying the warm sunshine! Using Legos, we are learning so much:
Colors
Math (counting, size, comparison, etc.)
Communication
Sharing
And so much more!

It may look like we just run around doing what ever we want during the day, but we are doing our job, playing! You may see just kids picking flowers, we see kids working on their fine motor skills, learning about the natural world (parts of a flower, plant, etc.), counting, learning colors, studying homes for their animals (block play), caring for living things, and I could go on for days! This is how we learn at FJDS, by playing, being kids and having a fantastic time doing it!

This is what happens when you give kiddos some water, kitchen tools and some tubing! They figure out, all by themselves, how to deconstruct and create new and wonderful gadgets to move the water and their imagination! We love watching their creative juices flow!

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Friday! We had a wonderful week filled with friends and play! A big highlight was "Break with the Tuesday Crew" (a group of volunteers that help maintain our grounds and complete big projects for our school) that was a yummy pancake with strawberries for snack! We thank them and Wesley for all they do for our little School!
