After thorough safety training, State Center Welding begins hands-on instruction of the SMAW (Shield Metal Arc Welding) process, also known as stick welding. This process helps build the fundamentals before moving on to other types of welding.

Cohort #1 of State Center Welding at State Center Community College District's West Fresno Center. This project is supported by Fresno County Economic Development Corporation's Good Jobs Challenge grant.
