Field Day was the perfect way to wrap up our year of fun today! We enjoyed pizza and rootbeer floats as we said “Peace out school, hello summer!” Thanks to all the parents who helped make field day possible, and especially to those who helped clean up. Many hands make light(er) work! The kids had a blast playing in the water, racing friends, making friendship bracelets and soaking in all the fun. Now we are ready to bring on the summer. 😎

And that’s a wrap! Sequoia 2025-2026 was an amazing year! We are thrilled to complete our 3rd year as Sequoia and 5th year as a community. Homeschooling with friends is the best, and we have loved learning together, exploring, building, playing, and making memories together. Watching the deep friendships that develop through the year brings us such joy. Like the giant Sequoia trees, we are strengthened through community. And we are so grateful for this incredible community! Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our program this year.

🎓🎓💚 Ah, our 8th graders! We are going to miss this special group. These kids have been with us since 4th and 5th grades, and we’ve literally watched them grow, discover more about themselves and what they are capable of, develop deep friendships, and lead our campus in amazing ways. This is an incredible group and their absence will be felt next year, but we are so excited for their new adventures as they move on to high school.
We had a special time of celebration for them yesterday. They were escorted in by our kindergarten grads, and then our fabulous middle school teacher, Mrs. Campbell, shared sweet memories and words of encouragement for each of them. Thank you to all the families who joined us to mark this significant moment as they graduate from Sequoia.

🎓🎓Yesterday we celebrated these sweet kiddos who completed their Kindergarten year! They are so excited to promote up to first grade next year. Special thank you to our fabulous kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Finley, and our lovely aide, Miss Taylor, who have poured so much into each of these young students this year. These kids have worked hard, learned so much, and are ready to rock the first grade!! Congratulations to the future class of 2038!! 🎓🎓💚

Tie Dye Day 2026 was a big success! Each student created their own custom tie-dyed Sequoia shirt. And we will all wear them on Thursday for our last day together! It was great to see the older kids helping the younger kids, and we are also grateful to all the mamas who volunteered as well. We can’t wait to see everyone’s unique and colorful shirts on display this week!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our incredible homeschool mamas at Sequoia! We see you, and we know how hard you work to make your kids education and experience what it is. We see the sacrifices you make (big and small) and we want to remind you that it’s worth it. You are doing an amazing job! And we so honored to be on the journey with you!

Last week we hosted our first Young Entrepreneur Fair and these kids blew us away! They did such a wonderful job! They’ve spent all month studying business, economics, marketing and more. They designed their own logos, made price lists, packaged products and worked on their sales pitches. And they were all amazing! There’s too many to fit into one post so we’ll be sharing more throughout the week but we are so proud of our young entrepreneurs!

🍎📚It’s Teacher Appreciation week, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing staff of teachers and aides who love our kiddos so well and make this program possible. Thank you to each of our staff!
Leave them a note to let them know why you’re thankful for them!

What a lovely morning we had at Flowers and Fellowship. The kiddos had a great time just playing together while the mamas enjoyed a relaxing time together learning how to arrange flowers. We have such an amazing group of moms! We are thankful to Reyna for sharing her expertise with us and Julianna for hosting us. It was a beautiful morning together. 💐
