A huge thank you to everyone that attended our annual CASA Summit last Saturday, September 6th!

A special thanks to our guest speaker Marc Q. Jones, also known as "Coach Q," for his insightful speech about imposter syndrome, self-development, and reaching our true potentials.

We hope all our attendees had an amazing experience! We look forward to another academic year supporting our students' career and academic journeys.

We would like to highlight our recent work with our STEAM Summer Research Program, a collaboration funded by STEAM Pathways and CSU-STEM Pathways Alliance (formerly CSU-LSAMP). For 8 intensive weeks, this program is designed to immerse students in scientific inquiry to foster essential skills for future success, bringing talent together from various colleges to create a dynamic learning environment.

Students have been participating in dedicated research time, along with professional development workshops, mentorship engagement, and creative thinking sessions to provide foundational knowledge and practical application.

It's been an incredible past few weeks as we move along in our Summer work!

The CASA office has been busy with amazing outreach opportunities! ☀️

We recently had the privilege of collaborating with Fresno State’s TRIO Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound Summer Residential Program to welcome groups of high school students from across the Central Valley! With support from our STEAM Pathways Summer Research students, Tri-Beta Biology Club and campus partners, students explored STEM and health career pathways, toured on-campus labs, and built professional skills. 📚🔬

It’s been a full and exciting start to the summer at CASA! We kicked things off with a range of programs designed to support our students’ academic and professional goals. ☀️

From test prep and summer internships under the Health Professions Pathways Program to the launch of the STEAM Pathways Summer Research Program, our students are spending the summer learning, growing, and connecting via orientations and our on-campus ropes courses.

We’re proud of the work our students are doing and excited to see how they carry this momentum into the fall semester! 👏

We would like to highlight our amazing HPP Peer Mentors and all of their hard work the past few weeks! These students have been active in supporting the CASA office with outreach activities, sharing valuable information about our programs to future and current Fresno State students. Sharing these resources is vital to ensure students interested in healthcare professions can find our office as soon as they can. Again, thank you for all of your hard work!
