I’m grateful to be booked and busy — but I’ll be honest, I’ve missed getting weird with the creative side of things. The experimenting. The challenges. The moments where I try something new and it actually works.
So when Michelle told me she wanted her gym shoot at to feel different… I was all in.
I had just picked up some new colored lights and modifiers, and this was the perfect excuse to throw myself into it. First time using these lights — and I think we pulled off something dope.
I’m already hungry to create more like this. Got an idea? Want something outside the usual? Let’s get messy 👊🏽

I can’t think of a better way to start the week than celebrating Congrats on the 🅾️!!

Can’t wait to see you up on that stage, my friend!

March is almost here and so is your photoshoot! As you gear up for your bo***ir shoot or fitness photoshoots, I wanted to share some tips to help you feel confident leading into your photoshoot experience.
1. Chat with Me: Before the shoot, let’s discuss what makes you comfortable and any ideas you have. This way, we can tailor the session to reflect you.
2. Plan Your Outfits: Choose outfits that make you feel confident. If you’re doing a fitness shoot, you’ve probably heard me say, “Where outfits that showcase the features you’re most proud to show them judges.
3. Share your outfit choices: Stay in contact with me ahead of time so we can plan the shoot to highlight your style. I’ll tell you if I really think the outfit will work. 😱 😂
3. Prepare Ahead: In the days leading up to the session, stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. On the day of, wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid marks on your skin.
4. Share Your Vision: If you have specific poses or styles in mind, let me know! Share inspiration photos that can help us align our visions.
Who you choose for your photoshoot is just as important as the clothes you bring. It helps ensure you get guidance. Your photoshoot will always be more successful the better your communication with your photographer is leading up to your experience.

Why Does My Work Have a “Sexy Vibe?”
Someone asked me why my fitness photography leans into (i think her words were), “a sexy, confident energy”.
Great freakin question 😃
Because muscles don’t take away femininity. Strength doesn’t mean a lack of beauty.
One of the things I hear most from my clients is how hard it is to still feel feminine after transforming their bodies through fitness and competing. The mindset shifts, the body changes and suddenly, they feel like they’ve lost touch with that softer, sensual side of themselves.
Here’s the thing: You don’t have to choose between strength and femininity. Every muscle you’ve built, every scar you carry, it all tells a story. And that story is powerful, beautiful, and uniquely yours.
So why does my work have a sexy vibe? Because my clients are sexy. Their confidence, their resilience, their individuality, it’s all part of their power. And I just capture what’s already there.

Just something about a glitter bath shoot that hits different. The way the light bounces off every sparkle, the glow on the skin, the softness of the poses, it all comes together to create something next level.
Swipe to see the lighting breakdown! It’s crazy how small changes in light can completely shift the feel of an image.

There’s something about the Las Vegas Dry Lakebed that brings out a whole new energy in a shoot. The mix of strength, confidence, and femininity in this pose is exactly why I love working with fitness competitors. Muscles don’t take away beauty, they amplify the hell if it!
I’m back here in March for more shoots! If you’ve ever wanted a session in this unreal setting, let’s make it happen.
Swipe to see the pose and lighting breakdowns. Small tweaks make all the difference when it comes to looking powerful and effortless at the same time.

Mastering light placement can elevate your fitness photography! 💡 Here’s a breakdown of one of my favorite 3-light setups:
1️⃣ Overhead Strobe: The key light positioned directly above the subject, creating dramatic highlights and depth.
2️⃣ Edge/Fill Lights: Two strobes placed low to the ground, camera left and right, feathered toward the camera. These lights add subtle edge definition and fill shadows to maintain balance.
💡 Camera Settings: ISO 100 | f/8 | Shutter 1/200
This setup enhances muscle definition while keeping the lighting clean and dynamic. Perfect for fitness portraits that demand attention!
Understanding your light sources and how they interact with your subject is critical for impactful results. What’s your favorite lighting setup? Share below or ask questions! ⬇️
