Maria T. Bisco LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ Maria T. Bisco, 69, formerly of Lopatcong Township, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, while in hospice at Bridgeway Sr. Rehabilitation in Bridgewater, NJ. Born Oct. 11, 1947, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Harold Woolf and Vera Shaw. Maria was a graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School. She retired from the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission in 2011 and pursued her love of gardening as a member of the Phillipsburg Area Garden Club, where she served as president from July 2011 to July 2013. Her work focused on the beautification of the downtown Phillipsburg area and reestablishing the Community Garden. She also helped the town establish a Blue Star Memorial Highway in 2014. Maria was given a lifetime recognition award by the Phillipsburg Town Council and Mayor Harry Wyant for her devotion to the Phillipsburg Community. In 2015 she received the Michelle Broubalow Chamber Award of Excellence from the Phillipsburg Area Chamber of Commerce in recognition of her overall dedication to serving the community. Maria was a member of Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church and the Warren County Democratic Committee, previously elected as Democratic Committeewoman for Ward 1, where she served with her husband Richard. Maria was loved by her family and friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know her and enjoy her smile and infectious laugh! You will be missed! Maria is survived by her daughter, Susan (Bisco) Anderson and husband David and loving granddaughter, Sarah, all of Branchburg, NJ; six sisters, Frances Ludwig (John) of Phillipsburg, Virginia Woolf, of Mesa, AZ, Jackie Hammond (Bob) of Tobyhanna, PA, Linda Calvo (Vincent) of Phillipsburg, Noreen Popinko (Harry) of Washington, NJ and Patricia Stuyck (George) of Kresgeville, PA; 27 nieces and nephews. Her husband, Richard, passed away in 2008 and a brother, Robert Shaw, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away earlier. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc., 695 Corliss Ave, Phillipsburg, NJ. Call Sunday from 10 a.m. to time of services in the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.devlinfh.com. HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ - Russell Snyder, 70, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born August 1, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Russell worked for L.N. Rothberg & Sons. He loved quiet time at home with his grandchildren. Russell enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, tinkering in the garage and cooking breakfast. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a die-hard Phillies and Eagles fan.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Kitty Snyder, his two sons Russell J. Snyder of Lincoln, MT and Charles W. Snyder of Toms River, NJ, his daughter Kristine D. Snyder of Milford, NJ, and his five grandchildren Shelton, Nikki, Jada, Emma, and Autumn. He was predeceased by his mother Lilly "Tootie" R. Snyder and his aunt Virginia "Ginny" Papics.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. .

Obituary

Barbara A. Newcomb, 69, of Pelham, NH, formerly of Milford, NJ, died unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2017 at her home. Born May 14, 1947 in Easton, PA, she was a beloved daughter of the late Donald and Ann (Wilhem) Newcomb. Barbara was raised in Milford, NJ and graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School and Brandywine College. She retired as a medical secretary from St. Luke's Hospital, Warren Campus, where she worked for many years with many wonderful friends and colleagues. Two years ago she relocated to Pelham, NH, to be closer to her sister, nieces and nephews. She was a devoted caretaker for the family for years and always was a sweet and kind person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved her time with her grandniece and grandnephews. Surviving are her sister, Shirley Litchfield and her husband Mark, of Dracut, MA; a nephew, Robert Litchfield and his wife Karrie, of Litchfield, NH; a niece, Heather Litchfield and her fiance Randy Mueller, of Tyngsboro, MA; a grandniece, Karlie Litchfield; two grandnephews, Aden Mueller and Joseph Litchfield; a cousin, Nancy Constable and her husband Jim and their children, of Bangor, PA; and a dear friend, Shirley Agnew, of Hercules, CA. We have lost another of out beloved classmates: Joan Berger.

Joan M. Anastasi 67, of Tatamy, PA passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was a daughter of Mary (Erdo) Berger of Milford, NJ and the late Willard Berger. She is survived by her husband Donald J. Anastasi with whom she celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on January 25th. Joan was employed for many years as a steel purchaser at the former Alstom Power of Easton. She was a graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School class of 1965. Joan was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church 410 West Center St. Nazareth, PA 18064. In addition to her husband and mother, Joan is survived by her son Jason T. Anastasi and his fiancee Beth Boris of Nazareth, PA, daughter Danielle M. Schrader and husband Thomas A. Jr. of New Tripoli, PA, grandchildren Zarra J. and Sadie J. Anastasi, brothers Kenneth Berger of Hampton Roads, VA and Wayne Berger of Stewartsville, NJ. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am -10:00 am in the Morello Funeral Home Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am in Holy Family Catholic Church 410 West Center St. Nazareth, PA 18064.
