It was a very hot, but productive week at the Fremont Middle School Storage Shed ( 40'x 60') project. This week the Construction Trades 2 students have set the columns, installed the trusses (with help from FPS Maintenance and C-R Menn Concrete for lending us a telehandler). Installed wall girts and roof perlins, layouted door and window openings and installed various diagonal bracing.

The Construction Trades 2 students were on site at the Fremont middle school all day today to pour the slab for the 40x60 metal shed with help from one of our industry partners C-R Menn Concrete . The students were able to rake, laser screed, bull float, power trowel and help finish the concrete. FMS middle school students in Mr Giesselmann's also came to watch the progress and learn more about concrete and the skilled trades.

It has been a milestone six months for The Builder Foundation! We welcomed four new Facilitators, saw many impactful projects completed by students, launched a brand-new website, completed a successful Train the Trainer session and set a bold new course with an updated Mission, Vision and Values.

Great first week of progress from this year's Construction 2 students... Our first project this year is a 40' x 60' shed at the Fremont Middle School... We spent the week placing batter boards, forming the slab, making rebar cages, leveling the pad, digging 12- 24"x 48" holes, installing sand base, installing v***r barrier and installing wire mesh. Next week we will pour the slab with the help of C-R Menn Concrete ....

We have some exciting progress for CTE house #3. The last 3 days we have had Construction teachers from Northeast Nebraska, Omaha Metro area and Council Bluffs area working with Liteform Insulated Concrete Forms products to construction and install the foundation for CTE house #3. Special thanks to Papa Excavating for digging the hole, Arps Red-E-Mix for help with lite form products, bracing and concrete and Hull Concrete Pumping for pumping the concrete.

Sorensen Sod put the finishing touches on the house today by adding some beautiful new sod. Just in time for our open house this Saturday!!
