The Daugherty Award was established in recognition of FCS Superintendent Larry Daugherty. Dr. Daugherty served FCS with spiritual maturity and professional knowledge for 22 years. He coached Varsity Boys’ Basketball to annual success leading to the state basketball championship.
The Award recognizes an accomplished athlete who demonstrates strong Christian character and reflects the virtues and values taught by FCS, impacting team morale on and off the field.

FCS participated in Math Kangaroo for the first time this spring; several of our elementary students placed in the top 20 nationally!

FCS has a variety of scholarships offered to its Seniors based on both academics and merit.
Niles Rotary Club Scholarship: Awarded to Rebekah Sung; granted to seniors who show an exceptional commitment to leadership through community service
California Scholarship Federation Chapter Scholarship: Awarded to Rebekah Sung; given to a student who has best fulfilled CSF’s motto of “Scholarship for Service”
Martyna Withee Scholarship: Awarded to Rebekah Sung & Matthew Du; instituted by Mahlon Withee, a former US government scientist and instructor at FCS for Christian students who are pursuing scientific study.
The Lopez Family Scholarship: Awarded to Aaron Hamilton, Alexander Hunyh, & Rebekah Sung; to reward and encourage students who have been active and positive contributors to the FCS community.
The Silver & Cardinal Shield: Awarded to Matthew Du, Hana Lee, Faith Ma, Antonio Munoz, Naomi Shi, & Cederick Soktounn; chosen by a vote of the faculty and administration, awarded to students who have shown exemplary involvement, academic achievement, and Christ-like behavior.

Out of nearly 50,000 participants in the Spring 2026 Math Noetic competition, 7 FCS students scored in the top 10% nationally and 16 students earned an honorable mention award.
