Teachers, administrators and homeschool families, as you get ready for another school year, don’t forget that learning can happen outside the classroom, too!

Healthy Plant offers field trips at the farm where students can get hands-on, explore the world beneath their feet and learn all about worms, composting and healthy soil. 🌎

Can’t make it to the farm? We’ll bring the worms to you! Our mobile field trips and workshops are available year-round and can bring hands-on learning right to your school, homeschool group or facility. 🪱

Fall calendars are starting to fill, so now is a great time to start planning your visit or workshop!

We enjoy every opportunity to show curious young minds what happens after food waste arrives at Healthy Plant!

One of the most important ingredients in our process? AIR! 💨

By properly managing oxygen, moisture and organic materials, we help turn food waste into something valuable instead of sending it to the landfill.

There is a whole lot of it to transform! Healthy Plant is on track to recycle approximately 200,000 pounds of food waste this year alone. 🤯

We love getting the next generation excited about composting, healthy soil and the idea that what we call “waste” can actually become a resource.
