First Wednesday of the month! Whistles blows And wherever we are we take the opportunity to talk about and practice our tornado drill and our fire drill! Not only did we talk about the difference ,one going to the basement and one going to the outside, one having a fire alarm and one having a whistle, but we also take the time to practice covering our heads, walking in a line, helping each other , and discussing the routes to the basement and out the door! Take this day to review with your children in their own homes as well! Discuss what to do if the fire alarms go off and Mom and Dad aren’t awake!Discuss where to take cover in a tornado. They will learn and remember if a true emergency occurs!

It’s Ms Mel’s favorite time of year and lessons to incorporate into our preschool curriculum! Learning about seeds and garden planting! We started out with a activity sheet about vegetables and flowers and deciphering what each one went into. We then took our lesson outdoors and pulled out seed packets and spent time talking about the different vegetables and flowers and gave everyone an opportunity to tell which ones they’ve had and which ones they liked. Then we opened up the packets that each child picked and we got to show them what the seeds looked like. The children were quick to notice how tiny our tomato seeds were and how big our pumpkin seeds were. They also noticed that the peas looked exactly like the peas we eat! They each took turns planting their packet of seeds and they can’t wait until they can see some results. We did a little chalking the wok and later that day we checked the seeds just to make sure they haven’t grown yet!😆

This man brings a lot of fun and joy to children all over the world. How sad that he must endure such pain through the loss of a child. Our prayers are with you and your family Danny Go. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
