Howard Elementary School

Howard Elementary School Welcome to Howard Elementary School! Howard Elementary is located in the southeast section of Fremont, Nebraska.

We serve approximately 275-300 students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. The majority of Howard Students come from the surrounding neighborhood. Howard Elementary offers district Reading Recovery and all Special Education programs including Resource Services, Speech and Basic Skills Program. In addition to classroom instruction, specialists provide students’ education in the content areas of Art, Media, Music and Physical Education. We are a certified Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school and support proactive strategies for teaching appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment.

Today the first graders discussed the importance of Patriot’s Day. In class, we listened to a story, looked at photos of the memorial at Ground Zero, and listened to patriotic songs. They did all of this and made a hat to show we are proud to be an American.

Each student had to plan, build, test, and make it better!

They had lots of students repeating out theme for the year "I can do hard things!" when it got hard, but we did it!!
