We’re excited to kick off a new series highlighting the ways FUDTA members show up for our Fremont community!

Recently, our members joined the Fremont Family Resource Fair to connect with families, share important educational resources, and help spread the word about Prop 3.

Special educators Michele Pryor and Courtney Caviggia also created a pop-up sensory room, offering a welcoming space for students and adults to take a break and recharge.

We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for students and families, both inside and outside the classroom. ❤️

Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎

Today, we’re celebrating our teachers and we’d love if you shared about a teacher that has impacted your life! ⬇️

Teachers know that our work is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom. It’s about creating welcoming schools, supporting students through challenges, celebrating their successes, and working alongside families and our community to help every student thrive.

As educators, we’re proud to stand together for strong public schools because we know that when we invest in the people who serve our students, we strengthen the schools and communities we all share.

THIS & passing Prop 3 to protect funding for our schools 🍂

A little fall reminder that Prop 3 isn’t creating a new tax.

It would keep the existing higher income tax rates that have been in place since 2012 from expiring, protecting billions in funding for California’s public schools and community colleges.

Statewide, roughly $2–$6 billion of that annual revenue goes toward education!

What does that mean for Fremont? That means roughly $20 million a year in school funding at stake.

That’s funding that supports the schools our students attend, the educators who serve them, and the programs our communities rely on.

Vote yes on Prop 3 this November!

A beautiful, STARRY night celebrating the people who help our students fall in love with reading. 📚✨

FUDTA was proud to join in on the festivities at Fremont Education Foundation’s Excellence in Education Gala where they celebrated FUSD’s Library Media Technicians and Teacher Librarians.

We’re grateful for the work they do every day to make our schools more engaging, welcoming, and full of stories worth getting lost in.

Yesterday, FUDTA members were joined by community members, educators from other locals, and the Fremont CSEA President to hit the doors and talk with our community about PROP 3.

But what exactly is Prop 3?

Prop 3 IS:
A measure that would make the existing higher income tax rates on California’s highest earners permanent instead of allowing them to expire and decrease in 2031.

A measure that directs 89% of the revenue to K–12 public schools, with 11% going to community colleges.

A measure that would maintain an estimated $5–$15 billion in annual state revenue for education and other programs.

Prop 3 IS NOT:
🚫 A new tax on working families.
🚫 A tax on everyone in California.
🚫 A measure that creates a brand-new income tax rate.

Here in Fremont, current projections show that if Prop 3 doesn’t pass, our schools could lose more than $19 million in annual funding.

We’ll keep showing up, talking with our neighbors, and making sure our community has the information they need! When we fight, we win! And we need this win for our students!

Today, FUDTA was joined by members of our community, the Fremont CSEA President, and educators from other locals to spread the word about Prop 3 and State Superintendent candidate: Richard Barrera.

Hundreds of doors were knocked on, dozens of conversations were had, and Fremont community members got the chance to learn more about what’s at stake this November.

If Prop 3 doesn’t pass, Fremont schools could lose roughly $19.6 million in annual funding. FUDTA knows Fremont students deserve the very best, so we’re taking action to protect funding for our schools and our students.

We’re thankful for everyone who showed up, knocked doors, started conversations, and helped get the word out today.

FUDTA is hosting a 💥 SUPER WALK 💥 to canvass for Prop 3 (formerly known as prop 55) and for Richard Barrera (CA state superintendent candidate)!

We know that when we come together we can make meaningful changes! So join us on 9/19 at the FUDTA Office (39510 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont) at 10am to spend some time in our community as we canvass across Fremont!

Grab a friend, wear your comfiest walking shoes, and bring a charged phone. We will provide a brief training and a light breakfast beforehand at 9:30!
