New York Kathak Festival 2026: One for the books!
Spent an unforgettably amazing three days in New York immersed in Kathak along with other kathak-crazy folks 😁
Excellent workshops, talks, conversations, performances and gatherings of kathak enthusiasts from around the world brought together by an amazing NYKF team 👏👏👏
I am still smiling and basking in the memories of the festival as I replay those three days over and over again in my mind!
Very grateful and proud to have presented our dance at the festival along with my beautiful InSyncKathak team: Reva, Vyoma, Mihika and Aanya. Super grateful to their parents for sharing their daughters with me and for supporting and enabling our travel across the country to present our dance at the festival.
Eternally grateful to my Guru Padmashri Shovana Traxl Narayan Didi for her blessings that make such experiences possible 🙏🙏

Some images from the InSyncKathak Student Showcase last Sunday. A very strong start by our budding kathakaars, promising presentations by our dancers striding confidently on the path to excellence, heart pounding dances by our pre-professional performers, and some very encouraging comeback presentations by our dear senior students made us really proud! The students and families went home with loads of inspiration, pride and gratitude to be a part of this beautiful tradition.
The excitement, the nervousness, the confidence, the smiles and the pride of supporting families and friends make these gatherings a priceless celebration of our art and our community 🥰

These are some special shots that captured the on stage and offstage moments from our production at the San Francisco International Arts Festival at Dance Brigade's Dance Mission on May 3rd.
This show presented traditional and collaborative pieces from six Indian Classical Dance traditions.
We were specially honored to have Antonia Minnecola Didi and Rohini Dandvate Didi as our special guests in the audience 🙏

Oneness - The Blossoming
San Francisco International Arts Festival
May 3rd, 6 PM at Dance Mission Theater, San Francisco

Six dance styles. A plethora of emotions induced by the advent of Spring. A variety of movements. But one message: Oneness! Beyond differences and beyond boundaries! This production is a powerful dance-theater collaboration with a stunning ensemble of six Indian classical dance forms: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Mohiniattam, and Odissi.

The Mission serves as host to dance, music, theater, circus arts and more from April 29-May 10.
