Our Story & Mission

In partnership with families and the church, our mission is to develop spiritually vibrant, academically equipped, and personally healthy students. We seek to assist parents in their basic responsibility of educating the whole child.

Prince of Peace school is an independent school that includes preschool through eighth grade. While Prince of Peace is autonomous, it is also part of a network of some 3000 Lutheran schools across the United States. We opened in 1957 with 25 students in four grades and now enroll over 430 students in preschool through eight grade.

Our academic program is based on the best curriculums around the country. We meet the California State Standards, enhance our program through the Core Knowledge Sequence, and integrate technology in every-day learning. We utilize interactive white boards and electronic student feedback, as well as a host of other tools and experiences. Our students test in the top 15% of students taking the Scantron Performance Series standardized assessment.
