Ohlone College Speech & Debate

The Ohlone Forensics team started off the season in early October by attending the Golden Gate Opener (GGO) at San Francisco State University. Over the course of two days they competed in Individual Events (IEs) such as prose interpretation, impromptu speaking, and extemporaneous speaking.

On Day 1, three members of the team attended and everyone took home at least one award. Annie Koruga placed 3rd in Open Extemp. Kristen Cabrales placed 3rd in Novice Impromptu. Sarah McMurry placed 5th in Open Prose.

On Day 2, one member competed which was Annie Koruga who placed 3rd in Open Extemp.

The next tournament is Pacific Meets Delta Swing in Stockton.

Our novice and open team at the Steinbeck Invitational made it to semifinals along with three of our novices winning 1st, 3rd, and 5th place for speaker points! 🎖🎖🎖 @ Hartnell College
