Congratulations to all of our 2026 graduates, but especially the 7 pictured below. They have given so much and meant so much to the wrestling program over the last 4 years. Their dedication, commitment, perseverance and work ethic will serve them well in the next stages of life.

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Wrestling programs for receiving the 2025-2026 Nebraska Coaches Association - Currency Academic Excellence Awards. Teams must have a cumulative 3.30 GPA to receive this award. I couldn't be more proud of our athletes for keeping a focus on their academic coursework while also managing the demands of a varsity wrestling season.
KNIGHT PRIDE!

NSAA State Tournament update
Consolation quarterfinals: 285 - Connor Sullivan falls one match short of a state wrestling medal, losing to Heideman (Battle Creek) in the blood round.
He’s had a heck of a career and is one of the nicest, most well-rounded athletes I have had the pleasure to coach. I couldn’t be more proud of the path he’s taken and all he has accomplished as a student-athlete.

We couldn’t be more proud of Kennedy for becoming our first ever girls state qualifier. This is only the beginning!
Also, thank you to all of Kennedy’s family, classmates and other supporters for being so loud and proud the last couple of days.

NSAA C1 District Results (@ Madison)
A huge congratulations to Cade Pribnow and Connor Sullivan on qualifying for the state wrestling tournament!!!
Cade will make his first trip to Omaha after finishing 4th at 157lbs, and Connor is headed back for his second appearance after finishing as district runner-up at 285lbs. Connor becomes the 46th multiple-time state qualifier for Bergan Catholic. I couldn’t be prouder of these young men for the way they prepared and competed this weekend.
They will wrestle in session 1 on Thursday, February 19th at 9:30am at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
On a more somber note, this weekend also saw a few outstanding young men compete for Bergan Catholic for the final time. Evan Wolf, Ryker Koenig, Sawyer Pruss, and Jaxson Kellogg all ended their careers one match short of a season/career/life-long goal of qualifying for the state tournament. Even as I type this it doesn’t seem like words will be enough to adequately express what they have meant to our program, and on a personal level, to me as their coach. Each of these young men competed with great tenacity, grit and integrity. Unfortunately, wrestling doesn’t always let you win on your schedule, and this is a difficult realization to come to terms with. This is not a life-defining moment for any of these young men. This setback, like any other, is part of God’s plan, and they are certainly destined for far greater things. The lessons that they will take away from the years in this great sport will allow them to be successful in life because they know how to be disciplined in pursuit of a goal, to be resilient in the face of adversity, they understand the value of hard work, and most importantly they know to pursue team-oriented success in a selfless manner. These young men are champions on the mat, in the classroom and in life.
