Last week, Miss Wood's class welcomed a special delivery of two giant pumpkins from a local farm. We are so excited to have more pumpkins to add to our fall gardens. Thank you, Miss Wood!

We also had the opportunity to welcome Fremont Fire Rescue, NH to Ellis School last week! Our firefighter guests shared information about fire safety, what firefighters do when they respond to a fire, and what their equipment looks like. Then, our students got to check out the fire truck! Thank you, Fremont Fire Department. We love this tradition!

Thanks to Mr. Eric and Ms. Cheryl, our students were able to listen to a story by a New Hampshire author about bats, check out all of the amazing resources the library has to offer, get a library card, and check out some books. Discovering strengths. Exploring possibilities. Planning for the future!

Yesterday, we welcomed Granite Edvance to Ellis School to introduce our eighth-grade students to YouScience—a program that helps students discover their natural abilities, explore their interests, and connect those strengths with possible future careers!

Through interactive “brain games” and an interest profile, students can learn more about what they’re naturally good at—including strengths they may not have recognized yet! Their results help them explore careers and the education or training that can lead to those opportunities.

For families, this offers a meaningful starting point for conversations about your child’s strengths, interests, and future possibilities. Our goal is to encourage curiosity, build confidence, and help students see the many paths available to them as they prepare for high school and beyond.

Thank you, Granite Edvance, for helping our students take this exciting first step!

We had some gorgeous weather this week, which called for journaling in the pollinator garden.
