Our summer session of level up concluded on Sunday. What a fantastic group of kids! Over the summer we had 19 level ups. Some kids leveled up a couple times. Thanks for a great summer.

We have our fall session starting on September 9th. Space is limited.

Congratulations to Ava Hesselschwardt! She has opened her Senior year with back to back 68! She has made 2 bogies in 36 holes of golf.

Girls Golf ⛳️ traveled to Toledo to participate in the Notre Dame Academy Invitational, held at South Toledo Golf Club. Defiance placed fourth overall, with a score of 362, which qualifies as the second-lowest score in program history.

🥇Congrats to Ava Hesselschwardt as she was the Medalist with a score of 68, which is 3 under par at South Toledo GC.

Congratulations to Defiance High School! Ava shot an amazing 68 to set the tournament record.

Girls Golf ⛳️ won the Defiance Elks tournament for the first time in the 9-year history of the tournament with a team score of 355, which is the second-best team score in tournament history; Wayne Trace shot 350 in 2020.

🥇 Ava Hesselschwardt was the tournament medalist with a score of 68. Her round was highlighted by 5 birdies, 12 pars, and only 1 bogey. Ava's 68 is the tournament record, and she is now a four-time tournament medalist, also a record.

Defiance's other scoring golfers were Ruth Green with a 91, Kenley Manriquez with a 98, and Emily Anderson with a 98. Ruth, Kenley, and Emily each had a birdie, which helped set a school record of 8 birdies in an 18-hole event.

💙The 355 for Defiance is also a school record for an 18-hole event, either home or away.

Defiance plays next on Saturday, August 1, at the Notre Dame Invitational at South Toledo Golf Club.
