Our center may be closing soon, but the love and dedication that built Salem Little Saints will always remain. Today, we want to recognize two very special staff members celebrating 10 years of service and the incredible impact they’ve made on our children and families. 💜

Today we celebrate Miss Lori and the incredible impact you’ve had on Salem Little Saints! For the past decade, you have poured love, patience, and wisdom into our preschoolers, guiding them with a heart full of faith and joy. You truly are our preschool mastermind—teaching little ones with creativity, kindness, and Christian values that shine through in everything you do.
Your love for children and families is such a blessing, and we are beyond grateful for the countless ways you have touched lives over these 10 years. Thank you for being such a steady, joyful, and faith-filled presence in our center.

Today we also celebrate the wonderful Miss Mary, who started her journey with us the very same day as Miss Lori, coming over from First Baptist to continue blessing children and families at Salem Little Saints!
Miss Mary is our baby whisperer. With her calm, patient, and loving personality, she has cared for our littlest ones in the sweetest way. But her love doesn’t stop in the infant room, she “bebops” joyfully throughout the entire center, pouring kindness and encouragement into every child and staff member she meets.
We cannot thank Miss Mary enough for the light she brings and the love she shares so effortlessly. Thank you for 10 beautiful years of devotion, laughter, and Christ-like care. You are truly a treasure to our center!

Our Story
The philosophy of a child care center largely influences the types of activities, the curriculum and the kind of care that will be present in the Center. Therefore, it is imperative that parents become familiar with the philosophy behind the Center in order to understand the focus of the program.
It is the philosophy of the Salem Little Saints CCCC that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Young children are creative and receptive; the staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in the children who attend the Center. We feel that the program should focus on the development of the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each child. We feel that children should have opportunities to grow and build on those things that they “CAN DO” already. It is the role of the caregivers to build upon those things that children are able to do. We believe that most of life’s learning – including how to learn – occurs in the first five years of life. Since each child learns at his/her own pace, our staff will look to him/her to determine the next stage of development. This “CAN DO” viewpoint allows our society’s precious future to become confident and to enjoy successes in an atmosphere of respect, warmth and Christian love.
Time and time again, research has shown that the main component of sound, quality child care is the trained, sensitive adult who is the caregiver. Through careful selection of a staff trained in early childhood development that value, respect, and sensitively respond to the unique needs that children hold, we feel that children will best learn. We respect parents as the most significant providers of care and nurturance. We are pleased to serve as extended family members.
