Terra State Community College student Hunter Miniard has been named the College’s rotary student of the month for September.

Miniard, a Galion, Ohio, resident graduated from Galion high school in 2024. He chose Terra State after transferring from Mount Vernon Nazarene University to participate on the Terra State baseball team and pursue his interest in electrical work in power and control controls. Miniard plans to pursue a career as an electrician.

Outside the classroom, Miniard is a member of the Terra State baseball team and works as a resident assistant at the landings. He also enjoys fishing and hopes to learn how to hunt. Miniard said he will take the friendships and teambuilding skills he has developed at Terra State with him after graduation.

His nominator Alisa Nowaczyk, manager of Housing and Student Relations, said Miniard has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to helping other students.

“Hunter has really shown growth within the first weeks as a resident assistant trying to help students and going out of his way to teach them other policies, along with being there for everyone in need of help,” Nowaczyk said.
