Q: How hard is it to unenroll your child from their school in order to homeschool?

A: In Michigan, this is extremely easy. You write a 'letter of intent' to the school telling them you are unenrolling your child immediately and homeschooling. Then send to the administration at the school, as well as the district. That's it!

Everyone homeschools a little differently. Some people unschool, some follow a strict curriculum, some are somewhere in the middle. People have rooms dedicated to homeschooling, while others work in their living room or dining room. Some parents stay home all day with their kids and some parents work. One of the most beautiful things about homeschooling is that you can do what works for your family.
