He wanted the freedom to request an ASL interpreter without the restrictions of a traditional interpreting agency. He came up with the idea of an online marketplace where consumers and freelance interpreters could connect on their own terms. He brought that idea to Chad Taylor, and Linguabee was born. Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

At Linguabee, we recognize that true inclusion means creating spaces where every person is valued, every person is seen, and every community has access to opportunity.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, we also celebrate the strength, contributions, and history of the Black community.

Our office will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and will reopen during regular business hours on June 20.
