A huge thank you to everyone who donated toward today’s PTSA Teacher Welcome Back Breakfast! Thanks to your generosity, our teachers were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast to help fuel them for a full day of training, meetings, and preparing for the new school year.

We truly appreciate your support in helping us show our amazing staff how much they are valued. Thank you for making this a wonderful start to the school year!

A huge shout-out as well to our amazing committee, who put in all the hard work behind the scenes to ensure everything was organized and that this event ran smoothly. We truly appreciate all of your time, dedication, and teamwork!

Hey Mustangs! The bell schedule for this school year has officially been posted.

We highly recommend adding all of the minimum days to your calendar now.

This is by far one of the most common questions that comes up in our WhatsApp groups or calls to the front office every year: "What time do the kids get out today?"

Most minimum days happen right before a three-day weekend or a longer school break, but they're all listed on the bell schedule.

Taking a few minutes now to add them to your calendar will save you from having to search for them later!

Your future self will thank you. 😊

Remember when in doubt it can always be found on the school’s website.

Hey Mustangs! 🐴

Just a reminder that MAZE Day starts this Thursday and Friday, and Monday, August 3 is WEB Day for our incoming 6th graders!

📚 MAZE Day
- Students and parents attend together.
- You'll are assigned a time window based on your student's last name, but you do not need to stay for the entire time slot.
Most families are finished in about 20–45 minutes, depending on how busy it is when you arrive.

🎉 WEB Day (Monday, August 3)
This is a student-only drop-off event for incoming 6th graders.
Students should plan to stay for the entire program.

CMS PTSA is excited to coordinate a staff breakfast on Wednesday, August 5th in the Gym to welcome back our amazing teachers and faculty for the new school year.

We're looking for your help! Sign up to donate food, assist with setup, serve the breakfast, or help with cleanup.

Can't donate a dish or volunteer? Consider a monetary donation to support this event. Gift cards to Panera/Safeway/Costco can be dropped off at the CMS office with "CMS Staff Breakfast" written on the envelope, from July 30th to Aug 3rd, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. All Donations are appreciated.

It’s officially a new PTSA year, which means you can now sign up or renew your PTSA membership through our Totem website.

Remember, multiple members of your family can join—including your students! When adding your student, it will ask for a teacher’s name. Just select “Unknown” since middle school students have multiple teachers. Teacher names are mainly used at the elementary school level for classroom membership competitions, which we don’t do at Centerville. Instead, we have other fun incentives for both parents and students who join the PTSA.

Also, joining the PTSA does not mean you’re committing to a board position or even volunteering. Becoming a member is simply a great way to show your support for our school.

Your membership also gives you voting rights at PTSA Association meetings, where members help make decisions about PTSA programs and spending. Plus, a portion of each membership fee comes back to our PTSA to support our students, staff, and school community.

We hope you’ll consider joining us this year. Thank you for supporting Centerville PTSA!

Hey Mustangs!

We can’t believe school is now less than a month away! Summer is flying by, and I hope everyone is having a great one.

We wanted to share the Centerville PTSA Calendar of Important Dates. This calendar includes many of the PTSA-sponsored events throughout the school year, as well as events we help support, from the Welcome Back Breakfast for our teachers (more information on that coming soon!) all the way through the 8th Grade Social at the end of the year.

You'll also notice the bottom half of the calendar lists our PTSA meeting dates. Meetings alternate between Executive Board Meetings and Association Meetings. Association meetings are open to all current PTSA members.

Since it's now July, it's officially time to join or renew your PTSA membership for the new school year. We’ll be sharing the membership link in a separate post. Becoming a PTSA member does not mean you have to volunteer or serve on the board, although we will also take that of anyone is willing 😉 . It simply shows your support for our school, gives you voting rights on PTSA business and how funds are spent, and helps support the PTSA since a portion of each membership goes directly back to our organization.
