Last Wednesday, all three of our fifth-grade classes took a walking field trip to Niles Community Park, where they were greeted by parents who had organized a special celebration just for them. The afternoon was filled with giant games, bracelet-making stations, pizza, and plenty of time to relax, laugh, and enjoy being together as they wrapped up their elementary school years.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to make a few more memories with their classmates and celebrate all they have accomplished during their time at Niles.
A huge thank you to our incredible fifth-grade teachers, dedicated parent volunteers, and of course, our amazing students for making the day so special. We are going to miss our fifth graders, but we know they are ready for their next adventure.
Remember, Bulldogs: once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. πΎ

ππΊ Niles Dance Festival 2026 πΊπ
On Friday, Niles Elementary hosted our annual Dance Festival, one of the most anticipated and beloved events of the school year for students, staff, and families alike!
Students began learning and practicing their dances back in February during their PE classes. Our TK and kindergarten students, who do not yet participate in general PE, practiced with their classroom teachers to prepare for the big day. Months of hard work, dedication, and excitement all came together in a fantastic showcase of talent and school spirit.
We want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing PE teacher, Mr. Silveira, who puts countless hours into choreographing, teaching, and coordinating dances for every grade level. This yearβs theme featured songs by Dua Lipa, creating a fun, energetic, and high-energy atmosphere that had everyone dancing along and cheering for our Bulldogs.
Thank you to all of our students, teachers, staff, and families who helped make this event such a success. We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the performances!
For those who were unable to join us in person, or for anyone who would like to relive the fun, please see the link below to watch the full Dance Festival performance.

A New Tradition Begins at Niles! πΊ
This year, our wonderful kindergarten teacher, Miss Herrera Green, started a brand-new Hula Club at Niles Elementary. Open to students in kindergarten through second grade, this club provided a fantastic opportunity for our younger Bulldogs to participate in an after-school activity. Many of our after-school programs, such as sports and cheerleading, are geared toward older students, so it was exciting to offer something specially designed for our younger learners.
Throughout the year, students learned hula dancing and worked hard preparing for a special performance at our annual Niles Elementary Dance Festival. They did an amazing job showcasing their talents and sharing the spirit of hula with our school community.
We are so grateful to Miss Herrera Green for bringing this wonderful opportunity to our students, and we are excited to see the Hula Club become another cherished tradition at Niles for years to come! πΊππΎ

Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog πΎπ
Today, we hosted our Third Annual Graduation Walk, one of our favorite Niles traditions! This special event invites graduating seniors who once attended Niles Elementary to return and walk our halls in their caps and gowns.
As our seniors made their way through campus, our current Bulldogs lined the parade route to cheer, high-five, and congratulate them on this incredible milestone. The parade was proudly led by our amazing Bulldog Cheerleaders, helping create an unforgettable celebration.
After the walk, our graduates had the opportunity to reconnect with former teachers, visit old classrooms, take photos with friends and family, and spend a few moments reflecting on where their educational journey began.
Seeing these students return reminds all of us that the years may pass, but the Bulldog spirit stays strong. We are so proud of each and every one of our graduates and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them.
Congratulations, Bulldogs! Remember: once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. Go out and make us proud! ππΎπ

Another Fun Assembly for Our Bulldogs! π²β¨
One more exciting assembly that the PTA was able to bring to Niles this year was the BMX Stunt Masters Assembly, held on May 19th.
Stunt Masters combines incredible BMX bike tricks and stunts with important life lessons focused on character building, goal setting, physical science, safety, and turning positive thoughts into purposeful action. Our students were amazed by the riders' skills while also learning valuable messages they can apply both in and out of the classroom.
Assemblies like these provide memorable experiences that inspire, educate, and engage our students in unique ways. We are so grateful to our amazing Niles community for supporting the PTA through fundraising and volunteering efforts. Because of your support, we are able to bring enriching opportunities like this to our school and create lasting memories for our Bulldogs.
Thank you for helping make experiences like this possible! ππΎ
