I want to thank all of you who have supported the Advanced and Accelerated programs, especially the Academically Talented Youth Program (ATYP). Even though ATYP will no longer be offered to students in Newaygo County, please watch the NC RESA website for information on our Exploratory classes, College for Kids Summer Camp, and AP Computer Science Principles. Our last ATYP 1 ELA class of the school year. This amazing group of students decided to show their serious side as well as their happy side while sporting their new ATYP t shirts!

This was the last class session for ATYP 2 ELA. Students used Padlet to post, share, and discuss next year’s goals, concerns, and action steps. They are ready for next year! 👍

We had beautiful weather for the ATYP 1 ELA students to fill the book houses in White Cloud and Hesperia. Special thanks to Dr. Weaver who drove van #2 for us.

A little rain didn’t stop us! The ATYP 2 ELA students cleaned out and refilled the book houses in Fremont and Newaygo. 📚 Their reward was ice cream at Tiny’s. 🍦

Debate Day! ATYP 1 ELA students debated whether you need a college degree to be successful. This lead to a lot of discussion on the cost of a college degree and concerns about debt.
