In November, Mrs. Beverly Warren (also known as Mrs. Prescott to hundreds of FCS alum) took a fall. She has now entered into hospice care. If you would like to share a poem, video message, photo, story, or anything for her encouragement, please use this email address: [email protected].

Her family will be so happy to view, read, and share with her during these difficult days all the wonderful stories and memories we know that many of you have.

Thank you for your prayers for her and the family.

We want to continue to celebrate our teachers this week!

Ms. Hitson has been teaching at FCS since 1992 and has taught Elementary classroom music, Elementary Choir, Handbells, Band, Guitar, and Sewing.

One favorite FCS memory is when she was preparing for the Elementary Musical “In it we retell, in modern times, the story of the Good Samaritan. Our Good Samaritan was playing the part of the “banker” who stopped by to help the “poor beaten” man laying along the side of the road. He was wearing a new suit that his mother had purchased for the part. He had not worn it to any of the practices and the drama instructor forgot to rehearse that he was to give his jacket to the “poor beaten man.” His clue line to do this action was said three times, each time more intense, by the narrator. Finally he looked at me and said very sincerely, “you want me to give him my brand new suit jacket?” The audience tried their best to hold back their laughter but could not. The “bank president” very reluctantly took off his jacket and gave it to the “poor beaten man.” I think this mistake gave the story even more impact. It is a memory I will never forget!”

Outside of school, she likes to sew, fish, camp, and garden.

Something students don’t know about Ms. Hitson is her age (and don’t ask, she won’t tell you!)

Her advice: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your  ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that we might have life  and have it more abundantly. John 10:10
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give  you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11”

Dr. Raymond Meyer has been teaching at FCS since 1989 as a Bible teacher, the Activities Director, the Vice Principal, and now the Secondary Principal.

His favorite FCS memories include overnight trips with students and staff such as Grade 4 outdoor ed, 6th grade science camp, or high school J-term retreat. He enjoys interacting with staff and students outside the typical school environment. These events are so helpful in building meaningful relationships.

Outside of school, Dr. Meyer loves taking one of his classic cars out on a weekend drive. He has two cars from the 60s which require much care and provide much enjoyment.

When he was in high school, living across the Dumbarton Bridge (late 1970s), he and his friends used to come to Fremont and race cars at the Fremont Drag Strip. The Fremont Drag Strip was where the Pacific Commons movie complex is now located. Back in the 1970s, there were no stores at Pacific Commons, just a drag strip and a small glider airport.

His advice: "Be attentive, Be intelligent, Be reasonable, Be responsible" (Bernard Lonergan)

After over 20 years, Terry Gregory is retiring from FCS. He has been a devoted teacher and coach for us and we would like to honor him with a page in the yearbook. If you have a picture you would like to share of you and Mr. Gregory or a fond memory of time at FCS with him, please email [email protected].
