Doctors this morning checked all my vitals: everything looking really good! Earlier in my hospital stay I occasionally got blood and platelet transfusions to up my counts- didn't need them today. Feel 110%. Feel like I could go boxing. 🥊💥

Best case scenario I could likely be out in next 5 days! 💙💛💙💛💙 🙏

Congrats to all of our students who placed at the 2024 Bay Area Middle School Championship!! 👏👏

This year's event captains showed up BIG this past weekend... 🫡🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️

🎖️🎖️PF Captains Amanda Lee & Ronit Parikh BROOKS LP finished prelims as the #1 top seed in Public Forum Debate, ending the weekend as 1st Place tournament champions for a third time this season, while also also taking home 1st and 2nd place top speaker honors. The team of Dhairya Gurnani & Anubhav Chatterjee finished prelims as the #3 seed and finished T-5th in QTRs along with 5th & 10th place speaker awards, respectively.

🎖️EXPOS/INFO Captain Brinda Paladugu was the tournament champion in Expository Speaking: her 7th (I think? 🤔) overall 1st place finish in the event this season. Erin Johnson captured 4th place in her first EXPOS outing. Ellie Mui finished 5th in her EXTEMP and speech debut.

🎖️CONGRESS Captain Shon Khisti added a second 1st place overall finish as a representative to his resume this season and was the unofficial MVP of the tournament: he also finished 2nd in ORIGINAL ORATORY & 3rd in HUMOROUS INTERP. He was flanked in CONGRESS by teammate Santhosh Arunkumar who also advanced to the final chamber and finished 6th in his first tour of duty in the event.

Congrats to all of our students who placed in Middle School Public Forum Debate at this weekend's USAFO March Open!

The team of BROOKS "BS" (BS... 😂) Yash Bhutoria & Soujanya defeated NYSMITH CH in the Finals of Open MSPF to finish the weekend a perfect 8-0. Their 1st place tournament run earns them a Gold Bid to next month's USAFO Championship. 🎱 ➡️ 🏆 ➡️ 🪙

Coming in close behind were the teams of BROOKS GS Ansh Gupta & Udayan Singhal and BROOKS AP Sara Ansari & Simra Paranjpye, who also finished prelims undefeated, and placed T-3rd (Semis) and T-5th (Quarters) respectively. 🥉🥉 🏅🏅

Congrats to all of our students who medaled at yesterday's NOF Walnut Invitational!

Erin Johnson broke to elims in her first ever SPAR tourney, finishing with 3rd place bronze in the middle school division. 🥉

Shradda Kumpatla also captured bronze in a mixed events field of HS INTERP. 🥉

And Shon Khisti added a 2nd place silver medal in MS Humorous Interp to complete the set and go along with the gold and bronze medals he won in Interp last winter. 🥈
