Asian Heritage Festival 2026!
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by the Nira Thai booth and supported our school. We had such a fun time sharing Thai language and culture with the community through our traditional dance performance, mini Thai lessons, and fun activities throughout the event.
One of our favorite moments was helping visitors write their names in Thai script — everyone was so excited to see their names in Thai for the first time.
Special thanks to Former Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, Benjamin Yee, and the HongKonger Community Center for organizing this wonderful community event and bringing everyone together to celebrate Asian culture and heritage.
We are so happy to share Thailand with you all.
ฟ้อนล่องแม่ปิง (fón lông mâe bping)
A beautiful traditional dance from Northern Thailand inspired by the gentle flow of the Ping River in Chiang Mai.
Let’s learn a little Thai together.
ฟ้อน (fón)
= to perform a traditional Northern Thai dance
ล่อง (lông)
= to float / drift along
แม่ (mâe)
= usually means “mother,” but in this song it is used for a river or body of water
แม่ปิง (mâe bping)
= the Ping River in Chiang Mai
Together, ฟ้อนล่องแม่ปิง (fón lông mâe bping) gives the feeling of gracefully dancing along the Ping River.
