On August 31, 1977, the Rho Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered. Today, we proudly celebrate 49 years!

For nearly five decades, Rho Xi has remained committed to serving our community, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, and carrying forward the rich legacy of Omega Psi Phi.

This past weekend, the brothers of the Rho Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly attended the 85th Grand Conclave in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was an incredible opportunity to fellowship with brothers from around the world, strengthen our commitment to our Cardinal Principles, and celebrate the rich legacy of our beloved Fraternity.

Yesterday, we celebrated Juneteenth — a day that marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and perseverance of those who endured injustice while continuing to hope for freedom. It is a day to honor our history, reflect on the progress we’ve made, and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.

As we move forward, may we continue to educate, uplift, and empower one another while preserving the legacy of those who paved the way.

Today, June 13, 2026, the Brothers of the Rho Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly hosted our Annual Scholarship Banquet honoring graduating seniors as they prepare to begin their collegiate journeys this fall.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each scholarship recipient and wish them continued success as they pursue their academic and professional goals. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have earned this recognition, and we look forward to seeing the impact you will make in the future.

On May 25, 2026, we observe Memorial Day, a solemn day of remembrance for the men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
This day is not about celebration-it is about reflection.
It is a time to pause and remember those who never returned home, who stood in harm’s way, and who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this nation.
Men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.—including Brothers from the Mighty Ninth District-are among those who gave their lives in service to this country.
Their sacrifice is not just a part of our nation’s history
—it is a part of our Brotherhood.
We honor them not only for how they died, but for how they lived-men of purpose, courage, and commitment who answered the call when their country needed them most.
Today, we remember them.
We honor them.
