In the mountains and lakes of Western Maine, there were portages, paddles, tired muscles, wet gear, and big skies, on one unforgettable Grade 8 journey.

Our eighth graders have returned from their wilderness expedition changed in all the ways that matter most. Yes, there was hiking, paddling, carrying boats, setting up camp, and navigating the wild beauty of Maine’s western mountains and lakes. But deeper than that, there was teamwork when it mattered, support when things felt hard, resilience discovered, and the courage to try new, hard things.

As they culminate their eighth grade year, these students have returned home to us leaning on one another, carrying a stronger sense of self, and perhaps a clearer understanding of just how capable they truly are. 🌲

Our third graders spent their weekly visit with Growing to Give hard at work in the gardens - mulching, weeding, hauling, and helping care for the growing season ahead.

We are so grateful for partnerships like this one, where children experience the joy (and effort!) of meaningful work, community contribution, and learning in the living world. 💚

Our fourth grade dove deep into the animal kingdom this spring, culminating in a written presentation and dioramas they proudly shared with the community. Take a peek into these animal worlds they created!

WOW! What a day!

This year’s Pentathlon brought determination, teamwork, courage, mud, dramatic weather, and so many moments of personal triumph.

It was a joy to watch our students rise to challenge, encourage one another, and fully inhabit the spirit of the day.

Huge thanks to for hosting this incredible tradition, and to for these stunning photographs.

And to everyone who weathered the elements with us: you’re a hardy crew, and we’re grateful for you! 💚

Grade 4 ocean kayaking adventure = one very full day of teamwork, salty air, wildlife sightings, and the discovery that they are capable of more than they knew.

Two students to a tandem kayak meant communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and learning to navigate wind and current together.

They paddled around an island, walked the causeway, examined owl pellets and signs of wild lives unfolding around them, from loons to diving bald eagles.

A day of challenge, wonder, and the quiet kind of confidence that grows when children realize: we can do hard things, together. 🦅
