Two karateka who were dojo mates of my sensei, Steve Gottwirt from “the old days” who lost their lives due to the terror attacks on Sept 11th. I trained with Mike a few times.
Rest in Peace gents.

We cannot let September 11 end without remembering our Black Belt Academy dojo mates, Glenn Winuk and Mike Davis. Rest in peace. (slow silent bow)

We had a small test last night and are happy to announce four promotions. Congrats to Alexander and Ayden on their promotions to yellow belt, their dad Ed to blue belt, and to Alberto to brown belt.
Now dubbed the “Martinez Four,” although only 3 are related. Lol
Thanks to all the judges, helpers, and photographers.
Congratulations everyone. We’re very proud of you all.
