Crop Scouting class finished the summer at the Precision Planting Agronomy Days hosted at the Precision Technology Institute in Pontiac, IL. Students learned about the over 125 agronomic and product research projects being evaluated at the farm. We also saw several demonstrations including autonomous tillage, vision spot spraying, soil sampling technology, and planter improvements on seed orientation. A very educational and informative day spent in the field!

Within these plots are also some corn variety trials (notice the variation in colors), as well as the Baker Precision Planter Works planting depth and planter downforce studies.
