🍎 We're Hiring: Regional Safe School Teacher 📚
The Regional Office of Education #8 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Regional Safe School Teacher to join our team!

You'll work with students in grades 6–12 in our Regional Safe School Program, providing individualized instruction through an online curriculum while incorporating hands-on learning, social-emotional supports, and positive behavior strategies.
📍 Location: Regional Office of Education #8
💼 Position: Full-Time (185-day contract)
💲 Starting Salary: $43,543 annually (includes fully paid TRS)
What You'll Do:
✅ Develop individualized learning plans for students in grades 6–12
✅ Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and work in a co-teaching environment
✅ Foster a positive, supportive classroom focused on student growth and success
✅ Supplement online curriculum with engaging, hands-on activities and small group projects
✅ Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
✔️ Illinois Professional Educator License with a secondary teaching endorsement (or ability to obtain)
✔️ Strong technology skills
✔️ Experience or knowledge of behavior management, social-emotional learning, and working with at-risk youth preferred
✔️ Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
